We represented Buckinghamshire in the
national event and final judging of Cuddington's presentation
took place at the Bernard Hall on Monday 30th March 2009.
The competition has been
operating for over ten years and is aimed at promoting
sustainability among rural communities. With over 15,000
villages eligible to take part in England, Cuddington has
already been successful in being chosen at County level to go
through to the first round of the National competition.
The village community were
winners of the Calor Gas best village of the year at county
level in 2008.Cuddington was judged in the East
England section of Calor Village of the Year, alongside Elton in Cambridgeshire, Elmswell in Suffolk,
Sharnbrook in Bedfordshire, Langham in Essex, Denton in Norfolk
and Woolmer Green in Hertfordshire.
The winner of the East England region was Denton
in Norfolk and national finals are in July. |
